Fox’s new summer series The Good Guys had its season premiere last night. It was actually the second episode of the series; the pilot was shown a few weeks ago. After watching both episodes, I can safely say this show is definitely being added to my TV rotation. The show’s inspiration is simple: the buddy cop movie genre of the 80s and early 90s. Brad Whitford and Colin Hanks play a mismatched pair of cops demoted to what is essentially small crimes, but each week they somehow wind up in the middle of major crimes. Its goofy fun, with a healthy dose of action. If you want to add some laughter to your TV mix, I highly recommend it.
